Kelsey grew up in rural Pennsylvania before pursuing her dream of becoming a professional snowboarder out west. She dedicated ten summers to working at Mt. Hood while spending her winters in Salt Lake City, Utah. However, her journey took a challenging turn when she sustained multiple head injuries in a short period, nearly costing her life. Following brain surgery, Kelsey faced a difficult and isolating recovery process, which inspired her to establish Save A Brain, a non-profit organization focused on the prevention and education of traumatic brain injuries and concussions. Today, Kelsey wears many hats, including coaching snowboarding, backcountry guiding in Japan, and advocating for change through her work with Save A Brain.
