Julia is an Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor licensed in Utah. She received her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Westminster University in Salt Lake City, where she had the good fortune of meeting S.T.A.Y.'s founder, Desiree Melancon. Julia specializes in grief, life transitions, and occupational stress injuries, focusing on members of the action sports community, first responders, and medical professionals. Julia practices from an existential humanistic lens, with a strong foundation of feminist multiculturalism and attachment.
Julia brings over a decade of experience as a professional ski patroller and search and rescue dog handler, and personal and professional experience navigating loss related to action sports. Julia is passionate about grief work and believes that grief support is a key part of suicide prevention. She is honored to work with S.T.A.Y. and create space to foster vulnerability and healing.
